My set up is

LNB 119 >>>> INPUT 1
LNB 129 >>>> INPUT 2

OUT 1 >>>> SV 360P
OUT 2 >>>> SV 8K
OUT 3 >>>> LIMESAT HD AIR

Was all working well for over 9 years and then suddenly getting occasional 20% signal on the 8K and the HDAIR (was another 8K before the HD Air). 360 working fine. Thought it might be the switch ports, but swapping them made no difference. Changed all cable ends for new compression fittings. Still same - occasional loss of signal down to 20%.

Could this be a faulty DP44 finally after all this time? Do individual ports die ?

Any help much appreciated. Its difficult to get another switch where I am located which is obviously the best thing to try. But my have to purchase one and have it sent over.

Maybe just a dish alignment is needed??

Yes, individual ports do die. Bypass the switch with a barrel connector and test each sat & receiver on it's own, if all is well then you know it's the switch.

The 360 on 119 is showing 80/80 steady. 8K and Limey are showing 20 Strength/0 Q on 119 and 129 at the same time so I doubt its alignment. Both dishes are cemented to roof :) and LNB clamps are tight. Think I will try Maverik suggestion below and see if that is the issue.

definatley worth a shot.. one feed at a time... weed out the bad ones or switch's.

good luck...

Try Mavrick post with the barrel connector so you will know if it's your switch or your lnb that have gone bad or it's just a dish alignment.

After using barrel connector to connect 119 LNB to receiver and then 129 to receiver both work fine. So I guess I have two faulty ports on the switch. Thing is, it doesn't loose signal all the time. When connected receivers back to the switch on original ports all was good again on both receivers for about 24 hours. Then 129 dropped out and 119 worked. When check signal strength on 129 it showed signal and Q at 93% on all transponders! I suspect noise! Think best to get a new switch. Thanks all.

Yep new switch....
Just make sure all receivers or boxes are powered off..(hell, even unplug them) before disconnecting and replacing your switch... Don't want any new switches getting fried cause the units are on or on standby.....

goodluck...
let us know how that works out...
