If you are on Medicare or soon will be, pay attention to this if you should have to be hospitalized.
This is going to be a trap for many people unaware of two words: “Under Observation”!
If the hospital uses these words for your admittance, you will be responsible for the entire hospital expenses; medicare will not cover them.
You should insist that the hospital admit you as “In-Patient”.
It might be wise to inform family members and friends, too.
