If the D1000.2 dish is working fine with your current receiver then just run a second coax* from the #2 port on the LNB to the new receiver, this is the best way to avoid any problems, any major headaches and severe hair loss.

How ever the D1000.2 LNB is a DC current power hog, your current receiver may not power the whole thing for very long.

What reciver do you have on the #1 port now??

And are you using a DC power injector to run the system??

* The second coax must be rated for satellite systems, the D1000.2 LNB has to use RG-6 coax rated to 2.5 GHz or be swept to 3 GHz, this will be marked on the coax, long runs of coax over 100 feet need to use RG-6 quad shield coax with a pure copper center conductor.

Use cheap coax and get poor results, coax for CATV or TV systems will not work for satellite systems.
