I am running a viewsat ultra receiver, i have dn and bev When i change to a bev channel i get Request and server CaID mismatch (Receiver: 1816, Server: 1815). [0ms]
What does this mean

What does this mean
to use CaID remapping simply place a line for each CaID that needs to be remapped.
Like so - in caid.ini file
1841=1815
1802=1816

I am using a x-fta router and will only allow one caid line

Check again closely,I am pretty sure there is an option to add more
I used the xfta for quite a while on gargole,but now i use one with openwrt and xx-client on it

I did put it in like you suggested and when i switch to bev i get Request and server CaID mismatch (Receiver: 1815, Server: 1816). [0ms] and i get CW'S not received and failed to obtain valid control words

Should work,Did you reboot router and receiver after changing info

Sorry i am not using gargoyle anymore so i can not test it,maybe someone else here can chime in on this
As far as i know what i said should have worked

You might look at the outgoing packets on the serial port (you only need a PC--don't bother to try to connect to server). See what the outgoing packets have for CAID, you can change the code in the file to get what you want. Dump the RAM as shown in the experiments that got VS boxes working and rework the code. The point of doing the mods to get the files setup in public was so that you guys LEARNED from it and could update the code as you needed to. If you missed how the mods were done then similar projects are on-going and you could learn from them too.
