Anybody have recommendations on the Nano HD?
I think I'm gona order one tomorrow.
I hear the HD is fabulous, I'm wondering how the guide is for the south? (Charlie)
Not going to be using it for the north.
Is it wireless, or do I have to get a dongle?

would it be supported for a few months and then leave us to dry like the other Nanosat receivers we have that are useless????

Some issues still need to be resolved but the epg for south was addressed in the latest file. Dongle won't be necessary but wifi still needs to be resolved also. Excellent picture quality.

Is the SD picture quality as good as Kbox or Coolsat. Also is the HD picture quality as good as Jynx Ultra HD or Sonicview 8000HD?

Sd picture quality is superior to the kbox and coolsat receivers as I have had both in the past. I have never had a jynx or sv hd receiver.

Is the sd and hd picture better than the Dreamlink hd? Does the unit have any issues running hot ?

I had a Nano Hd and had to take it back. Here were the issues:
1/ After properly setting up server info, the STB would always show "disconnected" no matter how many times you tried to connect.
The STP did connect but it kept showing as disconnected.
2/ the STB caused interference on the TV. It was very apparent on certain channels on the tV's tuner.
The picture quality was amazing on both SD and HD.
Set up was a breeze.
A nice feature on this unit was the ability to adjust the picture quality.
I did experience an abnormal amount of freezing.

Its warm not hot and im in Florida lol.. Receiver process is very quick installing files and downloading channels ..as Costactc said in previous post "Excellent picture quality".. North EPG need to be fixed and possibly will be addressed as did south.. I have no fan on this receiver and its NOT hot.. No freezing unless its with the server.. Good buy for my money..

The picture quality especially the SD is much better than the Dreamlink T5 cannot comment about previous Dreamlink versions. Running a laptop cooler keeps it nice and cool and a cooler of some kind should be used for all HD boxes now.

agree, the pic quality is amazing in HD and much much better in SD than than the dreamlink HD or the dreamlink t5, no issues running hot with no added fans
It's great when it works lots of issues with epg sound delay scans and connecting and disconnecting
From server and box restarts on its own from time to time my box is unplugged and cable is back on until
It's running somewhat ok
