I do not know the difference after all these years what "BLIND SCAN" means.....

Am I able to do a better thorough scan of the sky, or what?

As Anubis said every STB is different but in a nut shell an "auto Scan" will only scan the transponders that are pre set from the factory for the sat you are scanning a "Blind Scan" will in theory scan all transponders I said in theory because from what I have read there is no STB's that actually scan all transponders but you get the idea

That's the info I was looking for.
Didn't quite understand the idea between the two meanings. The forums do have some writings about "blind Scan" but it does not explain the basic concept or theories behind the meaning.
