Hello

Is there any other channel you can turn to to populate your EPG?

I'm looking for the guide is the 4000's HD channels.

I thought there were a few different transponders that sends down the EPG info.
I want to maybe try a different transponder on this lame Dreamlink box.

I'm still only getting less than two hours from this crappy DREAMLINK HD sitting on channel 239 for 20 minutes.
WHAT A JOKE.

I did order a NANO HD.
I hope the EPG is better than the Dreamlink, I'll let ya all know..

Maybe you should do a bit more reading.

The EPG's are located on 3 different transponders on 119W, TP#7 is the same TP as WGN (channel 239) it is a 44 hr EPG, if your receiver is not populating the EPG on that one try looking on 119's info in Lyngsat for any channel on TP# 18 or #19.
One like CNN USA on channel 200. (TP# 19)

Or on 110 use TP#21(TP 12516R)

Maybe you should do a bit more reading.

I thought this was a "forum" where one could ask other members questions and get questions answered and have discussions started on said topic.

YES, I do a lot of reading, but I really appreciate the dialogue of the other members here.

If I broke any rules about asking a question or asking for help, please point that out.
otherwise I will just assume the smart response is supposed to be funny...

Sometimes reading helps avoid unnecessary posts but just to add to what dishuser said.....
Channels on the Western Arc 110/119/129 on the 9 day EPG transponder...
145 146 148 418 424 427 436 438 440 452 470 475 486 491 563 569 889 895 5440

Hope this helps some more.

One other thing to consider:

The two to three hr, 44 hr and 9 day EPG are different in information size, the 9 day EPG may not be able to be stored in some receivers internal memory due to it's enormous size, (all Dish channels on 3 satellites for 9 days) but has to be stored in a hard drive or an attached USB storage, this may be why some receivers can only display a few hrs of EPG.

Someone in the software department may have used the allotted space for some other task, what is anybody's guess.

Also if some have dual providers (BEV and Dish) your going to have to store even more data, and for two differant providers, so some recivers may not have the room for all this.
