It is with very great unfortunate to announce that effective immediately the "public IKS service" will be unavailable until future notice.

It seems that southern provider along with their card technology partner is taking every effort to shut down "any and every public IKS" server.

Please note that not a single Pinwheel public IKS server was ever hosted in North America and we took extra security measures but it seems that southern provider is very aggressive against any public or publicly advertised IKS service lately regardless of server host provider or location.

It is for the best interest for Pinwheel team not to offer "free Public IKS" service.

We encourage you to find a reliable truly “private" solution for your IKS needs.

We still believe that PINWHEEL HD is the best High Definition hardware.

Your privacy and security is the most important factor for us, therefore we apologize again for not offering the free public IKS service.

Be safe and have fun testing.

Most of us knew the public wouldn't last forever. Good box and waiting patiently for some updated software.

So I wonder what the next step is. Those that purchased HD unit now have no more features than the Mini and the iptv unit has less value as well. I was just about the buy a IPTV unit. I'm glad I didn't. I will stick with my mini until we see something positive in the future.

It is a good quality stb and still has the option of iptv witch looks like the future of broadcasting.
That remains to see if an iptv subscription will defeat the providers fees.
So, I'm going back to NFHD witch does not have the iptv option but beats any other stb in terms of quality and features.

I am selling mine on ebay tomorrow before it is worth 2 bucks. They never did fix anything like PVR and many other things as well..And I really do not think this box has much of a future anyhow...Way to many bugs..only thing going for it was the public server. Now that is gone and so is my unit..O Well

OK so it is an announcement thread which is starting to turn sour... Announcement was made, like it or not and there is no further need for discussions
