Anyone know a good area of Mexico to buy a place in? Doesn't matter what area as long as it is close to the water.

Thanks for all the info! Won't be financing be a wire transfer, so will look into the areas.
Ensenada,BCN is just one hour south of the border from San Diego/Tijuana very nice weather all year long
Second will be Rocky Point,Sonora or Puerto Peņasco,Sonora,3 very hot and humid months a year,1 hour south of the US border Lukeville,Az/Sonoyta,Son and 4 hours drive from Phoenix or Tucson,Az

You need to have a Lawyer for Compadre and friends in low places too :innocent: or change your broker/real state agent

yep... it is my understanding that since Mexico ceded the California Terr. & Texas that no one but a Mexican or Mexican trust can own land in Mexico. That is also why you can't get a loan.

Financing is available from some developments

You will still need to hold title in a Mexican trust. Acapulco, Puerto Vallarte, Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, & San Jose Del Cabo if you can afford them are all popular. Puerto Penasco or Rocky Point are probably more affordable as they are still being developed...A365 is correct some developers will lend on their product.
