I've had it for almost a year now, and all the sudden my receiver can't find any signal from 82. 91 still works fine, I'm just having issues with 82.

Anyone know what may be the issue? could lnb, or switch die all the sudden?

could be your 8psk that decodes the hd

I had no idea what that was so I looked up on Wikipedia, and it returned some crazy formula lol

As a receiver, I have Jynxbox with jb200 tuner. Are you suggesting that the tuner has gone busted?

thanks for the quick reply. I have no idea what 8psk is, but when I looked up on Wikipedia. I got some crazy formula...

I'm assuming this has something to do with decryption? If that's the case, would I get <40% signal from the satellite? If it's decryption, wouldn't I still get signal from the satellite, just can't decode?

If you are getting under 40 then either your dish moved, your lnb is faulty, your switch gone bad or the tuner(JB200) is faulty. You need to eliminate each one to know for sure.

That's alot of things to troubleshoot:). As I have 2 lnb dish, and I still get 91, could I assume the dish movement did not cause this?

It's possible the lnb may have moved but it doesn't sound like it.

Thanks, and as far as the tuner, as I'm getting signal for 91, is there a chance that all the sudden 82 stops working because f the tuner?

Yes it is possible.

Also, depending in your location, snow could be an issue. Possible that snow is blocking a single lnb, happens from time to time. As well, if in a cold area, have seen lnb lenses crack in the cold, might be worth while just taking a quick look at them visually.

Good to know, will take a look before I do anything else.

You didn't mention the make of your receiver. That may help narrow the issue down, as some do have issues with the 8psk boards.

Read post #3. I know it was not there before. For some reason it was moderated.

Thanks Anubis...didn't see that. I have a Jynxbox, and the JB Tuner does not last long. You mentioned a year, I think that's probably where you should start. Because of the 8psk board issue, I always have an extra one on standby.

Check Transponder 12443 on 82. That a non HD channel. If you're getting a signal, then you know it's not the tuner.

thanks Anubis and frostycold, wasn't sure why the post was moderated, but looks like my 2nd post went through.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Transponder 12443 on 82"? I'm getting <40% signal on 82 according to the menu.

Did you do a reboot of the Jynx? Might need to do a couple of them. Go to menu, then to Installation. From there go to Dish Settings. Once in that menu, using the left right buttons in the middle of the remote to find sat 82. Use down arrow to go Transponders, Left or Right buttons to Transponder 12443. You should see Signal Intensity and Signal Quality at the bottom of your screen. If set up correctly, you should get at least 80%. If it's stuck at 40%, the issue is likely an lnb, cable or switch, as you have stated that you are getting a signal on 91. IF you do get a single on that transponder, try and HD channel. If it only shows 40%, then it's likely the JB Unit.

thanks for the info. I tried changing just transponder infromation on the LNB2, I couldn't get the signal. So, I guess it's the switch/LNB. The weird part was that if I change the setting of the first lnb, (currently set for 91), I changed the satellite, LNB to 1, Port number to 1 (from 2), and a transponder to 12443, I got the signal and quality. But Jynxbox wouldn't save the setting, nor I received the video. Could that happen?

go out side and check the switch, if you use 4x1 switch disconnect port 82 and try different port number and do the same thing on the receiver.
