I was thinking of getting a new receiver and had it narrowed down to pinwheel or Dreamlink but decided on the Dreamlink T5. I called a local sat. store and he was telling me that he thinks the “Linkbox 8000HD Local HD” was a much better receiver, plus it has a dual tuner. Is he correct? The linkbox is one receiver that I've never thought much about before.

Your original Idea of the T5 is your best bet

Guess it all depends whether you are an fta'r or just want to grab some of the provider channels through iks.

Stb scanning from 61.5 to 148w; Sonicview 8000hd. I enjoy seeing the difference in viewpoint, presentation and accuracy of international news feeds like Russia, USA, China. What do you think, fta'r or grabber?

the description say DVR capability - does that mean that you can "pause" or do they mean something else?

If it's the module it's a $30 fix.
