I just received the t5 hd and i am getting around 75% on the 82,91 when the cable runs directly from lnb to receiver.
I then hooked 91,82 to a diseqc switch (Germany's best.. I think that's the brand name) and the signals seems really unstable. If i go on a channels that's using sat82 it will work then if i go on a 91 it wont or vise versa it does it too if im on a 91 channel going to a 82 it won't work. I selected the appropriate dish, diseqc 91#1, 82#2...
Thank you for your help

If you are using the disq switch that came with the box, then chances are it won't work properly. A couple of brands are Chieta or EMP-CENTAURI that seem to have a reputation. Grounding block may help your situation. You could give that a try first. But in any case you must unplug the receiver when making coax connection of any type. good luck

The type and make of LNB can also affect the signals, if your mixing types then the box has troubles switching between them.
They both should be ether standard, legacy or DP, if they are legacy then you need a legacy switch, if standard then any switch should work, if DP (Dish or BEV) then you need a switch that will work for those types of LNB's.
So, what type/brands of LNB's do you have?

I bought it at leesatt and bought a diseqc switch separately from the ird..
Yes i have one lnb bell and the other is dishnetwork

OK, but are they the same type?
Bbell use to use the old style legacy LNB's, this meant you needed two coaxes to the switch from each LNB, Dish went to the DP type LNB, it only needed the one coax, but the switch needs to be able to handle the band switching that the DP type LNB's from dish uses..
Look at your LNB's are they the same type, they should be all the same logo's, if one is a DP or DPP type then you may have problems.
A good photo of the two would help use ID the types.
20935This is the old style "legacy" LNB, click on it and look at the label.
20936This is the newer "DP" type LNB, again zoom in and look at the label.
They look alike so it's easy to mix them up.

Well those didn't zoom into too good.
The old legacy LNB's will not have this logo on them, only the newer DP LNB's will.

No it doesn't say dp on them.. It looks like they are legacy type
There is no dp logo

If they both do not have that logo then they are both legacy.
On your connections to the switch, both outputs on the LNB must be used, and be careful not to mix up the connections.
The switch should be labled SAT1 A/B, SAT2 A/B, or SAT1 +13,+18 and SAT2 +13, +18, so you would need 4 coaxes, 2 from each LNB.
If you cross one, the switch may not work correctly.
A photo of the LNB's would still help.

legacy only needs 1 coax not 2 to the switch

I got the same set up. get yourself a sw-21 switch. I got legacy type lnbs and sw-21 ,been workin fine for years.

Depends on the switch, some of the legacy switches will look at the +18 volt port, if no connection then you will not have a signal on some TP's if the LNB is a really old style legacy.
I think he is using an EMP switch, those want to see both connections from the legacy LNB.

that includes using an emp centauri switch

Yeah because i have only one coax from each lnb. I tried it too with sw-21 and only one satellite will work never 2 at the same time

Are you mixing the diseq with multi-switch Terryl? I have to use two cables from each lnb if I am using a multi-switch but only one from each lnb if I am using a diseq.

One more test i did this morning. I put 91 on sat1 of the diseqc and i have like 90%..about the same when i put 82 in sat 2. The problem is when i put 91 in sat1 AND 82 in sat2 at the same time... Thats the whole purpose of buying a diseqc to be able to put up to 4 sat in one coax.... I have 3 other lnb should i replace the current one? Or maybe the diseqc is not good quality? (leesatt Germany best)

Excuse my ignorance for I too am still learning, but should there not be a 22khz switch being used...
One side turned to on, and the other off, that way the receiver can switch back and forth??
just curious..

Ok i will try to do that

I used a sw21 instead and it does the same thing! Only one at a time... Maybe the receiver is defective??
Satellite 91 goes down to 20% s&q

Ok i got it... I had a old diseqc switch (ecoda) and it works!...
****finally i switched lnb so that both are dishnetwork and that fixed everything thanks
