I'm trying to help a friend with his DreamLink HD receiver with an HD module.

I loaded DL_HDpvr_factory.bin to the receiver and after it installed and rebooted I exited the USB Explorer list and pressed [MENU] button - went to Configuration then to System Recovery - entered 0000 as the PIN and went to "Factory Set" and pressed OK - accepted the warning and reset all data.
I selected the Menu Language "English"
Pressed the [MENU] button went to Utilities - selected Data Transfer - and installed the DL-HDpvr_121.bin file.
After it loaded and rebooted - again went to the Configuration - then to System Recovery - entered PIN 0000 and did the Factory Set.

When I go to Configuration - Network Settings - I can't enter any server info - it won't take the Password.
I used 0000 and also tried 0227

Also when I go to the Installation - Dish Settings - I don't get any signal on an sats. I've tried different dishes and LNBs - but the signal always stays red.

Any ideas?

You didn't say which factory bin you installed so try this one>>http://www.satfix.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=17307&d=1357768192

This DLHD is one of the older boxes?

Sorry - it was the DL_HDpvr_factory_106.bin file that I installed.

It just has dREAMLINK on the front panel and doesn't have any T4 or T5 markings anywhere. The motherboard says Dream Link Rev 1.3 It has a red module inside that says DM Ver0.5 and has rubber heat sink on it. It is a BROADCOM BCM4500KQMG chip.

In another thread here dishUser identified it as a DreamLink HD with an HD module.
