when heating food, microwave runs for few seconds and then cuts off, then i notice a burning odor inside . i have tried several times and same thing happens. any suggestions? thanks

Don't try to repair it yourself if you're not qualified. There have been a few guys killed trying to repair microwave ovens and being electrocuted by the charge in a capacitor.
