USB WiFi adapter

Hello gang, trying to help a friend, he bought TP-Link USB WiFi Adapter model TL-WN725N tried with his OpenBox X4, SkyBox M3 and it doesn't work, we tried on his computers all of them and it works he tried on my computer and also works, someone mention him that a driver need to install in the WiFi Adapter's chip in order to work on FTA receivers, got no clue so I am asking you, Thanks in advance Turbo
p.s. I tested it on my OpenBox X5 no go.

You should not need to add a driver, I got my usb wireless Lan from ebay for less than 5 usd, it is a=Powerlink PL-U2NA, it did
come with a driver disk but I did not have to use it, I just plug & play.
if you think you need a driver for it, google your brand of usb to get the driver.

Hey Iq does the chip has anything to do? I see ralink almost on all the usb wifi adapters and this TP-Link has an Atheros Chip. Turbo

Yes the chip has every thing to do with it, the openbox uses the same wifi as the jynxbox, the one that came with my openbox I use on my jynxbox, the one from ebay I use it on my openbox, in other words they are the same.

And those adapters you have are all ralink chipset.....

that's what on the one I got from ebay, if you go to ebay and look for= jynxbox ultra HD= you will see the wifi adapters listed
with them, they will work on the openbox.

Turbo, go to ebay and put this in the search box=powerlink usb wireless lan= then search # 5 down is the one I have.

OK found it, now my friend says that the local store don't have that exact same model but it does have this one that looks it has the same chipset.
