I am looking for the dish type setup.
What do you mean? Are you referring to the type of switch you are using, like legacy for example?
I am using the switch in the receiver. I need to reset the dish type not sat setup. My sats are not downloading right. The channels are all goofy.

A receiver doesn't have a seperate menu section for dish type. Are you using diseqc switch or legacy? I ask you that because my nano hd didn't scan properly as well when diseqc was assigned and I am using sw21 switches.
I am using the diseq 1.0 but I think the type of dish is wrong.

PremiereElite

Dish Pro plus lnb
So for sat 119 settings are:
LNB Freq Dish pro 11250
DiseqC1.0 port1
Yes But the channel are not downloading right. That is why I wanted to reset the dish type in case it was set wrong in the receiver?

Questions:
How many LNB's do you have on your dish? (and dish type?)(D500? D1000?)
How many satellites are you trying to receive? (only 119? or more?)
And what type of switch (if any) do you have?
And you can't set the "Dish type" only the LNB type and switch type.
It is a dish 500 and the lnb is a dish+pro. Channels will not download a lot of failed on the lines. The download scale goes to 30% and starts over.
I am connected to server but can not download channel so they will come in.
Terryl

Well the Dish 500 can have several options, it can have only one LNB for one satellite, one LNB setup for 2 satellites (Dish twin) 110/119 no switch required, two LNB's setup for 110/119 and they need a switch or a Dish 500 plus setup for 110/118/119 with a switch.
So you have a Dish 500, with one LNB? two LNB's? or one big LNB?
It is a one lnb for 2 sats. It has a input for 110 and one for 119.
Terryl

Then you have a DP twin LNB on that dish, it has it's own internal switch, if you have an external switch in the system then remove it, and connect the receiver directly into one of the ports on the LNB.
In your satellite setups for 119 use Diseqc switch 1.0, set the Diseqc switch to #1.
In your satellite setups for 110 use Diseqc switch 1.0, set the Diseqc switch to #2.
To make sure your on 119 use TP 12459R to find and test it.
Use TP 12224R to see if you have 110.
This is all you need to do.
This is the way I have my coax connected to the dish and the settings I have on my nano now. I have had many other receiver connected to this lnb and I have never had to to change the tp!s on my receivers to get the channels to download right??? On other receivesr I was able to setup the right lnb. Is it possible my LS500 module is defective?

Probably not. Terryl just mentioned those tp because we know that they are active for those sats. By the way, not all receivers are the same. For example, I power up my nano on 9462, Food Network which my wife watches, and most of the time I get a no signal message at start up; I go into the menu and wait till I get a lock on that tp.
I can not get the normal channels to down load. When I do select a channel it says no signal. My signal strength is 92.

Your signal strength should be higher than that for sats 119 and 110 hence your problem with scanning channels and getting a no signal on this receiver.
Signal intensity should be more around 98% and Signal Quality about 88-90% or even higher. Its a possibility that your dish is off just a tad. gl
Signal intensity 98 - Signal quality 92

You also mention LNB 11250.. This is incorrect since you are using a dish pro LNB.. This should be set as Dish pro LNB (11250) Not 11250.. there are 2 different settings there..
It will not download channels to sort by cid. I have sorted by the channels that it did download and I still get no signal. On the lnb line it says 11250 only freg adjustment up and down.
Sounds for me there is some corrupted bin floating around.I read some post about people use a file from different source and all that strange problems are gone instantly.

You need to scroll further down to select Dish pro LNB 11250, my friend there is an option there...
Sorry Premier you are right. That was the adjustment I was looking for. It is on the LNB Freg line. I was not scrolling to the left far enough. Thank you very much

Good to hear you finally got it. Just keep in mind if you ever get the no signal message again, just go into install menu and wait for it to say you are locked on that particular sat-I've had that issue with my dl hd as well.

Yes but that doesnt mean you are connected to your P$ subscription.... make sure your P$ sub is active with your reseller and after you input your P$ info and hit connect it says connected at lower left of screen.
One more thing.. when you are connected your P$ info will be grayed out..
I did recheck my server info. I had forgot to reenter it after I had installed the 810 program. Every thing is running smooth. Thanks to all the great members that stayed with me and got me going. My opinion only picture is no where near the picture of the Dreamlink T5

Great that you running smooth, and thanks for opinion but some say the Nano HD picture is much better than the T5 so I guess it depends on who is comparing lol

Is there a. way I can check to be sure I am getting HD. The picture is a little mushie and not as sharp as the T5

You should not be getting a mushie picture even in SD .. you can check your HD on channel 9421 its an open HD channel.
Check your cables.
The picture is a lot clearer on 9421 then it is on HBO and Showtime?? My picture is clear on my T5 when it will connect to server. I am using the same HDMI cable for the nano and the T5.

you must have your video settings off as the pic on the nano HD is the best I've seen and the SD pic is great, the nano HD has a far superior pic over the t5 imo but that could have to do with cables being used and type/model of tv, can't see the t5 having a better pic as everyone who I know that has a t5 and nano HD prefer the pic of the nano HD over the t5 in both HD and especially SD, keep playing with the video settings of your tv and video settings of the receiver and you will be amazed how good the pic actually can be

Thank you for your input Bobby. I am using the same TV and the same HDMI cables on both the Nano and the T5. If you have any ideas to improve the picture would glad to try them. he reason I bought the Nano because a lot of members where raving how great the picture was. That is sure not what I am seeing.

Picture quality on the nano hd is superior to my dreamlink hd but both are quite excellent. The only way you can see hd channels would be with rca white and red with component cables, hdmi or s-video. If you are using just rca cables then the picture your seeing isn't hd.
