Nowadays, running into Anderson Silva news is as likely as the sun rising in the east.
Whether it's a training session, workout video or a documentary of how "The Spider" eats his Fruity Pebbles, the mixed martial arts world has grown accustomed to hearing and seeing everything the former champ goes through.
Can you blame the system?
As the greatest fighter ever in the history of history, Silva encompasses a mass following similar to that of Muhammad Ali. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that his revival and rehabilitation physically, as well as mentally, creates a gravitational pull so massive it hurts.
Well, it looks like more news has broken with this recently uploaded video, to Silva's Instagram handle spiderandersonsilva, of the 38-year-old jumping back into the grappling game.
Now while it appears as if Silva's left leg, the very same leg he snapped on Chris Weidman's knee back in December at UFC 168, is for the most part extended and immobile, it's a welcome sight for anyone obsessed with his inevitable return.
It's going to take many more mat sessions to test the overall strength and dexterity of Silva's rod-enforced leg, but any start is a good start at this point.
As long as Silva remains patient, understands his limits and surrounds himself with the very best trainers and physical therapists around, time is just a minor hurdle the GOAT has to clear in order to reaffirm his dominance.
