Hey everyone I have been testing my t5 for about 4 days now so I wanted to give my input. Ok first thing when I got my t5 out if the box I noticed it is so small. Also there is only one USB port. So I put the modual in witch was really easy. Ok hooked it up and put in the newest file. Scanned and deleted all the channels I don't get cause that drives me nuts lol. Ok putting the p.s info in was differnt cause it hides what you put in so u have to make sure you don't make a mistake. Channels scanned well and fast. Ok I have to say it is a very easy friendy reciever to get going. I also wanted to put in hear that I also own a nano HD and there is no differnts with the picture at all they are both great. Love the guide nice and bright big so you can see it and also updates for over two days on north and south. I have not noticed anything on the t5 that I wish they would fix at all. Best reciever I have ever got to use. Some people say there is a heat issue but mine doesn't run any hotter then my nano HD. I have had no lock ups or reboots at all in going in 5 days. Have not even seen a freeze either. :). I tried to use the pvr but I have to get a different USB stick cause I read some don't work. Mine will work but it locks up after 4-5 seconds. Over all I would tell anyone that wants the next best receiver to a sub to get a t5 seems to have best support and so easy to use. Hope I didn't forget anything.

you may like yours, but I'm not very happy with mine. it's been running for 3 days now and here are some of the problems i'v noticed:
1. sometimes the audio lags a couple seconds,
2. when you go to the EPG you loose the sound for a few seconds while you are scrolling thru the guide, then you exit guide it will take 30+ seconds after the picture comes on before you get any sound.
3. The picture quality rather poor compared to my old CNX Nano2 or regular TV although the HD looks good
4. Hard to adjust the picture settings like contrast, etc as you can’t see what you’re setting look like till you exit the settings page and go back to look at the changes, it would be better if you see the screen change as you are increasing or decreasing the settings.

lamothefitz, send it back! I've installed 5 of these, T5's and I am way impressed. They perform even better than the earlier DLHD! I have not experienced ANY of the problems you list! Not that I don't think you have them just that there is something fubar about your box! The bad video you describe is THE clue. Video is phenomenal! Send it back!

The ONLY issue that is bad and has not been "tended" to is the signal meter, but for you that are upgrading this will not be a problem as your dish is already aligned!

clean out the box, do a couple of Factory defaults and load the Bin file again before you send it back, remember to do an extra factory default after you load the Bin file and then configure the receiver

Also re-seat the Dl-100 module. Also I have had DL-100 module NFG right out of the box brand new! try a new module as well 22 bucks!

Are u sure you have a T5? The T5's dont have a front flip down nor a second usb port unless a new model has been brought out without our knowledge.

I'm not currently testing a t5 the dreamlinks that I did test were earlier models. my biggest problems were the 8psk boards and their put in one time only problem that seems to affect the majority of them. This means if something is wrong with the 8psk and you mess with it you will never never never ever get signal again with it. I've looked at the seats with this tiny add on it looks like they are ceramic and maybe cracking after being initially installed. For this reason I don't mess with the Dream link too bad really for the box really was good in so many ways but if I find a major flaw that causes me to lose money (like I have in the dream links I've bought) then I go else where.

the newer model T5 has a different 8psk module DL100, the connector boards/pins are MUCH LARGER!
