loaded another recievers file on hd air by accident .I turned it off at the back before it was finished when I tried to reboot it says boot fail and wont come on

is the null cable the same as the rs32?

No. RS232 is the port/plug in on the back of the unit.
Yes you want to use a null modem cable and not a straight through cable.

what does the null cable hook up to

does it connect to the usb or r232 port on receiver . and to usb on computer?
