Even though pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. has decided to fight fellow welterweight titlist Marcos Maidana on May 3, rather than the undeserving Amir Khan, Mayweather continued to taunt Khan on how he could get a fight with him.

Mayweather wrote on his Twitter account that if Khan could beat Adrien Broner -- one of Mayweather’s pals -- he would fight him.

“I don't have an easy fight on May 3, 2014, so I can't over look Maidana but Amir Khan, if you and Adrien Broner end up fighting each other on my show and you win (which you won’t), I'll fight you,” Mayweather wrote.

Mayweather is due back in action in September and if he beats Maidana, Khan could potentially be the opponent. But a bitter Khan, however, didn’t take the bait, tweeting, “FM is full of s---. Just like (his) 'my next opponent ' poll.”

Mayweather posted a poll on social media in which fans could vote for whom they preferred Mayweather fight on May 3. The only choices were Khan and Maidana. Khan won the vote on Mayweather’s poll, but he picked Maidana anyway. Maidana buried Khan on polls conducted by other outlets, including ESPN.com.

Rumors have swirled since Mayweather announced that he would fight Maidana last week that Khan, a former junior welterweight titleholder, and Broner, a former three-division titleholder who lost his welterweight title in a 12-round beatdown Dec. 14 to Maidana, would meet on the May 3 Showtime PPV undercard.

However, don’t count on it.

“[It’s] very unlikely,” Showtime Sports chief Stephen Espinoza told ESPN.com on Monday. “It's my understanding that Broner is going down to 140 and that Khan wants to fight at 147, so the weight classes don't match. Fighting at a catch weight doesn't help either of them in terms of adjusting to the new weight. It’s a good 'fantasy boxing' matchup, but it doesn’t fit with each guy’s objectives going forward.”

My comment about Broner going down to 140.

He found out the hard way that those guys hit harder.
Wants to take a chance with Lucas or The Puerto Rican Kid from Philly.
Both can easily give him a unexpected fight.

Khan beat Maidana, Maidana beat Broner, and now Floyd is fighting Maidana.
Hmmm,, what a tangled web we weave eh?
How about Broner and Khan at 144 ???? doesn't seem either party is really interested.
I think it would be a good spectator fight. Neither one of em takes a big punch.
Cept Broner can get up and fight. Khan is usually toast when he gets decked.

Frankly, I am tired of Mayweather's idiotic antics! Mayweather's only interest is in keeping his "zero" record, which is why he never bothered to give any of his previous opponents a 2nd chance on a rematch. A good example is Dela Hoya! Mayweather stunk by refusing the scheduled rematch in September 2008, choosing then to "retire"! His split-decision win in 2007 was too close for comfort. He must have known then that a 2nd fight would have been very risky. Dela Hoya coasted in the last two rounds in that fight, otherwise, Floyd's zero record would have been finished!

He 's only agreeing to that because he knows that Khan will not beat Broner.
You see the buffer zone he is building around him.
He won't fight Broner cause of the bs friendship(not that I want to see that) but Khan will not get to him either.
Bull**** on top of bull**** just to preserve the O.

Floyd will do as he pleases no matter what. Now I will like to see his double take on Lucas Matthysse or Danny Boy. That would probably lead to PBF with the winner of that. Danny is the one that should be the challenger in this coming bout, you all know that. All that money should be going to his bank. Here we are discussing two second hand boxers that neither has a chance of beating the undefeated. We know that Floyd has taken on better boxers than most others, Chico,Arturo, De la Hoya,JMM,Cotto and The great mexican White Hope.

Collazo turns attention to Khan March, 5, 2014 Mar 5

http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2014/0130/box_u_ortcoll1_576x324.jpgEd Mulholland/USA TODAY SportsLuis Collazo wants a showdown with former junior welterweight titlist Amir Khan.

Immediately after Luis Collazo knocked out fellow former welterweight titlist Victor Ortiz on Jan. 30 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., he immediately called out for the biggest fight any welterweight could ask for -- a showdown with champion and pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Collazo probably knew it was unlikely for his next fight, but you can’t blame him for trying. Then his promoter, Golden Boy’s Richard Schaefer, voiced interest in matching Collazo with interim titlist Keith Thurman (22-0, 20 KOs), which would certainly be a good fight.

Collazo (35-5, 18 KOs), however, has another idea. With Mayweather set to fight titleholder Marcos Maidana on May 3, Collazo has turned his attention to a new target -- former junior welterweight titlist Amir Khan (28-3, 19 KOs) of England, the long-rumored Mayweather opponent until he got dumped in favor of Maidana.

"I definitely proved that I should be considered part of the top tier of the welterweight division when I beat Victor Ortiz," said Collazo, who recently signed with powerful adviser Al Haymon. “Another name that has been a part of that conversation for a long time is Amir Khan and I know that a fight against him would be huge for both of us and huge for the fans.

“Khan wants a shot at Floyd Mayweather and so do I. It could be a sort of welterweight playoff that would get the boxing world talking. And mark my words, I will knock Khan out like I did against Ortiz."

A potential Khan-Collazo fight would not be out of the question to take place on Mayweather’s May 3 undercard.

This will be a good fight for the British, by beating Collazo he can then hope to get into the sweepstake. The goucho beat Bronner and got into it, if Pac beats Bradley or Khan beats Collazo then they all be available to get on the list. Isn't that wonderful? They all want a piece of the action. What an impact is Floyd causing in the sport, it feels he's making history, for sure!

A hater state of mind, you can't beat him in the ring so you put him away.......
We the people put the gaucho in line, since he beat the copy cat, he can beat the real thing.
He accepted the challenge, to the people and for the people.
We the people will see the results of our own choice.
Any cherry in the division will be eaten by the master of boxing.
We the old boxing fans haven't seen a pugilist like Floyd in a long time.
We didn't say a person like Floyd, but a boxer like him. 45-0
The result is obvious, they elected him as P4P boxer of the decade.

You like that! If G comes down to 154 or less, that would be a fight. Pac couldn't dream with something like that, not anymore.Bob wouldn't risk it. You know that Floyd will give him boxing lessons for 12 rounds by moving and filling his face with leather. You'all be waiting for the punch that never came! G is good but Floyd is extraordinary. Remember Money talks and BS walks $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$:innocent:

Ahh, by the way all my dreams are in color.........

Canelo can finally fight someone that hits back.. besides Floyd. And we know what
happen there.
