Hello
So Dreamlink scans the channels and puts a 1 before the channels so eg., channels 300 in actual Bev 1300
Samsung has this app call watch on from which you can pick your provider and DOES have dreamlink as remote option but when we select any channel from the guide its tries to reach the actual Ben one like 300, but Dreamlink doesnt get it as it as 1300
Any workaround

You can also pick your provider with the DL, just choose Bellvu or Dish from the Sat list and not "all". You should do some reading on how your box works and the features it provides. There is tons of info in the stickies.

I played with the settings but was unsuccessfull

EDIT: So I figured what you said - basically press SAT on Remote and pick ExpressVU
So I did that, but it doesn't affect the channel #
Something which is 300 on actual Bev is 1300 on Dreamlink - my question was why the extra 1 and if any way to fix or rescan to remove that

Sat button on the remote gives you
all
91
82
bellvu
I don't know if this gets rid of the "1" in front of the channel number or not??
I don't know for sure but I think the "1" is in the software?? again not sure but I think that is it?

Ya, thats what I was wondering why does it add 1 before the channel

go to installation then scroll down to options then hit renumber by sid and change it to bev and that should do it for you.

Did you try this method with your T5 how did it work for you? For example did 1631 the military channel change to 631?

There's no such thing as The Name Bev or DN there. All there is there is On or Off. If you have both DN and Bev, then one must have that extra number so if would distinguish one with the other. I believe DN is the priority and you cant change it unless you scan Bev only or you select bev sat only in your sat choices.

Even if you scan bev only it still doesn't work; it puts the 1 in front of the channel, I still think it's a software/programmer issue, or some one correct me if that's wrong. I scanned bev only and selected bev in the sat choices still no change. Just a small quirk to put up with as it sits now until a software change is made...no big deal just a tiny bit annoying to some.

Just out of curiosity, what's the big deal about putting the 1 (or 2 if you have 82) in front of the Bev numbers? You get used to it. It has to be that way because if it wasn't and you entered 300, how's the box supposed to know you want M and not HBO.

try reading first post and you'll see the problem
and other boxes allow you to pick renumbering for a provider

Hmm, ya thats the issue - the sort by numbering is only ON an OFF - if I do off, picking Bevvu or All Sat doesn't matter.
I have to 2 of these and both have only ON/OFF option. The other sat has dish only and its all proper
Any other idea? coz this watchon app is really cool - I can pick the channel from the tablets UI from the guide and it just goes there

Cliff (as in Cliff Clavin). I read the first post and SOME OTHER BOXES allow you to do what you suggested, NOT ALL. Did you read MY question or were you just to quick to try and put it down with a sarcastic remark like you always do to peeps?

Cliff, don't presume to know what I get and don't get. The 1 isn't a problem with me but apparently it is for you and the OP.

So I figured this out
I have SV8000 and tried to scan there, and results were the same - channels for Bev started with 1, and then 2's etc
I figured that the Sat list has other sats ( mainly South ) so it reserves those channels for them as lot of channel #'s coincide so if I were to have North and South in the same reciever, the priority goes to Dick and then system auto puts 1 for North Channels
So I downloaded a SV 8K channel list and removed all other sats in Channel Master, and kept only Bev Sats,
Scanned and now since it didn't have any other sats, it gave me proper ch #'s

But you started this thread as a question for the T5... not a SV8000. You can probably accomplish the same thing by just deleting the sats using the 'edit' feature on the box (and then loading a channel list if you feel like it)

I don't u can delete a sat, like remove off the list of list - need to load a custom sat list with only those 2 sats
Channel master doesnt read it, what s/w cam I use to load a custom sat file?
