Why are the moderators not closing/removing the Beaver up/down thread and all other beaver related threads? It serves no purpose now...apart from 2500 posts which can be used as evidence for DN/BEV against some donators/testers that were a bit too public in their matters?
Just a little curious as the good folks at satfix always say how they are looking after their users' safety. ie, like they did when they toasted everything after the wolf escapade. Why is the site not being purged here?

every time a thread gets closed another one gets opened anyway... don't worry there will still be people asking 11 months ffom now how to contact the beav

dishuser: I know it was closed on the 5th, but there is a difference between "closed" and "removed".
The Noof: You are bang on there. This was a long time coming most likely.
Nostradamus: yes, I can understand that if it is removed, another will open...but a new one will not have 2500 posts. Some people gave way too much info out in that thread. Their own fault, yes, but still, it is something that the mods have the power to control.
I am indifferent myself. Just more curious than anything as when the wolf issue went down, everything was removed almost in real time to the event. I am guessing the Beav issue is the exact same. Not sure why the almost immediate reaction is not the same.

If you were indifferent you would not have started the post...just saying...

well I am not getting semantics on the topic but that was different than this issue. Quite frankly, I think most if not all staff is tired of running around from thread to thread babysitting and cleaning up various messes. Maybe if people would stop to think that something could come back to bite them before they post they might think twice about posting self-incriminating things to begin with.
now I hope that is a satisfactory answer so rather than have this thread go the same route as the other one you are so concerned about I will close this one now. Rest assured, anything DN wanted to use was gathered long before the crap went down so deleting posts and threads would serve no purpose whatsoever.
