Even thou the LNB has an internal switch, you still need to use the Diseqc switch settings.
Diseqc switch 1.0= yes, or on, or what ever.

Diseqc switch port #1 = 119
Diseqc switch port #2 = 110

Hi Terryl,

Would it seem odd if you could switch seamlessly from 110 and 119 with a legacy twin only using Diseqc port 1 even if you have 2 cables going to a switch using ports 1 and 2?

Sorry O/P i don't think i'm hi jacking as the answer may help you as well.

Its still hijacking and ive given you your own thread.Without knowing your full set-up its hard to answer A legacy twin has an internal sw-42(i think) and does not use diseq settings The two outputs should be going directly to two rcvrs not a switch

Thank you but I'm not sure how 2 cables (119 and 110) can go into 1 receiver without a switch.

Maybe I'm mistaken with the LNB type but there is definitely 1 line going out for each and has worked well for quite some time with the standard port 1 - 119 and port 2 - 110.

Now it only works on port 1 for both.......weird.

Does your lnb look like this? If it does it only needs one cable to run to the rcrv

It says dn Digital LNBF but looks identical to the picture you showed.

then you only need one cable to rcvr and you set up your legacy switch

Thanks for your help but this absolutely baffles me.

So the 110 line going into port two of the switch is not necessary?

Kind of funny really, that may explain a few scanning issues with new boxes over the last couple of years.

Thanks man, much appreciated.

If your DP twin LNB only has two outputs (the third one is an input on that LNB) then you need the second cable when hooked into a DP 44 switch to run more then 2 receivers.

Thanks Terryl,

So if i unplug the line 2 that i thought was running 110 on on my switch and everything still works for both that means i can use that one on another receiver if needed?

And if so would that other line power 119 or 110?

both lines carry the 110 and 119 You can run the cable to another rcvr The only visible difference between a legacy and a dishpro is the dishpro will have DP on it in black letters
