I have a laptop Dell Latitude D610, as I was watching an instruction video on youtube and just as it began the sound gave a burp and from that point on I lost sound on my PC, I cannot get sound from my music or any thing that requires sound to play, can any one help, I feel i need to D/L a new file for audio but i like to find a free one,,,
HELP Please

try rolling back to a system restore point that was created before that happened for starters

Not sure what os you are running but you should have an option in the control panel to test your sound...also could go into system properties and device manager and see if you have a problem with your sound device.

hit the windows key then type "sound" after click on the output tab. This will show you if it changed the default output or the audio device is missing.

try using headphones.

ok guys i tried with ear phones and have sound in the ear phones, which key is the out put tab

if you have audio at headphones then drivers is not the issue. look at post 4 and try that and if that does not solve the issue then you have a hardware problem internally
