Popcorn Time?

Anyone know much about this program, just wondering if it's any good and is it safe. if someone was to use it would a good firewall(non windows) be advisable?

its a torrent client with a skin and built in video player. i would skip the firewall and use a VPN.

Can VLC media player or something like it be used to record from it?
