View Full Version : Where did the New V251 file come from? Anyone tested it yet?

Hi all, I noticed a new file posted by a very respected member. Is this from the jynxbox team because I thought they were no longer supporting the Ultra HD. I hope I'm wrong.

It is from the Jynxbox team hence the title "official". They are still supporting both Ultra and the Lite.

Because its "official", don't load 2.51 on a clone box. I suspect that there will be a response from the clone coders, so be careful out there. 2.44 on my clone v4 runs ok, with the exception of the info page (doesn't update for the current time with the right program on most SD channels, and a few HD channels), so if they do come out with a non-kill bin, I'll hope for that to be fixed.

Jynxbox Clone Owners Beware of file OFFICIAL-JX_NA_Firmware_v251_dual bin.

Do not and I repeat do not load this Jynxbox Ultra file to a clone box.

It has a clone killer in it.

So be warned.

PVR working great now on SD and HD. EPG for several days on 2 providers. Scanning super quick. Youtube. Great bin. THANKS!!!

Hey guys...I loaded this file to v2 and looks great but I have issues with connections to servers....it will not connect revert back to 239 until I can figure something out...any suggestions?? Thanks

Same issue for me with my v1. I can't connect using Ethernet. I tried using wifi, it appeared to connect, but no picture on anything but free channels. Its promising... has YouTube, but I wasn't able to play a video.

same on a v3, with dhcp set to on,box doesn't get correct info from router.rebooted everything several times gave up, reverted to 2.43 ...all is good,should have left well enough alone lol

epg only works on Charlie does not work for bev I think this bin is for Charlie only went back to 239 not a clone no 1 or 2 in front of bev chnls

Hey guys...just an update...I found out how to load...and I wanted to share with the class!!

its recommended to do this.....


before installing the file do a factory default...Then a hard reboot...Then install the file...Then a factory default...Then a hard reboot...Then set up sats & scanned in the channels...That's it & all works well.

Remember this is for an original and not a clone...heard if done this way it will work fine on a version 1,2 & 3.....

I just had the chance to apply to my receiver & this still doesn't work...will not find any servers

Try using a static IP address by turning off DHCP. Make sure its one correct for your gateway or LAN setup, and use a public DNS, like 008.008.008.008 which worked for me to connect via Ethernet.

I honestly don't know. I know that recording with a JB100 was not possible, but with a JB200, I was able to record on-demand for about 9 minutes (about 300MB). The problem for me that you can't play the resulting .ts file except on using Jynxbox, because it keeps the encryption, and some research says that no one has found a work-around, including Video Redo. Recordings from free channels have no issue.

The JB keeps the encryption on its recordings, so it's not possible to play the .ts files on a PC. You can record off a non-encrypted channel though, like 101 or 102, and play those .ts on a pc. FYI, you just hijacked the thread.

I reloaded 244 and all ok .Guide populates well bu again they claim to have blind scan but defaults to auto scan: All fta receivers are to perform blind scans ; i rely on blind scans to find news feeds. When are these people going to get it altogether ?.

If you don't modify the receiver with a 3rd party file and leave it stock they will blind scan.
