Hello!

Having some issues with the T5 and this lnb. I'm not getting the best signal and quality.
Just curious to know if under lnb type and lnb frequency should be modified?

My setup is box to dish. Aimed at 110 and 119.
Am I supposed to see blue or red line graphs in the settings prior to scanning?
Thanks in advance and have a wonderful weekend.

Lnb should be OCS do and bars should be blue.

Awesome, so if I go back searching, I'll eventually get blue bars when ocs is selected. Does frequency matter at all?

A dish pro 500 comes in two options, one with two DP single LNB's and one with a DP twin LNB, the first needs a switch, the second has an internal switch.

The version with the single DP twin has one oval eye.

For the dish settings you need to set the LNB type as a "OCS-DP" with the LO set to 11250.

And the dish needs to properly pointed for a dual setup.

Go to dishpointer.com, select the 110/119 under the "Multi LNB" selection, then zoom into your location, this will give you the proper heading, elevation and skew for your location.

I initially had lnb settings at universal and managed to get both 110 and 119 with the DP. I'm assuming it has a switch installed because of that. I was using the dish pointer website for assistance, I guess I'm not exactly lined up with the two sats.
Thanks for your input!

With a dual LNB dish like the D500 you will be pointing in-between the two satellites, also the skew is important on the setup, set the skew first then point the dish, use TP 12457R on 119 to find that bird, TP 12224R will work for 110.

Use Diseqc switch port #1 for 119, use Diseqc switch port #2 for 110, once you find both birds you may need to very very slowly adjust the skew for the best reception on both.

Would I be better off pointing at 119, 129 with a dish 500 instead? Can that work?

I would point it at 110-119 and then if you want you can add a single lnb and point it at the 129 and connect it to the lnb in port, like they told you if the DP is a twin then it has a internal switch, you need to have not only blue bars but the sat has to be locked, which means on the top right it will confirm the satelite in blue letters, then you can scan, usually this is set as ocs-dp frequency 11250 and diseq port 1 for 119 and port 2 for 110, if you do not have blue bars and the sat confirmation you will not be able to scan.

Bingo! Worked! Got the channels but they are black screen, with no message. I wonder what this means.

Make sure you have a good connection to whatever server you are using, after that select a channel that has good quality and turn the box off and on from back switch, when it comes back on, it should be black for a couple seconds and then you should scramble channel, after that it should open picture.

So all the SD channels work fine but HD is being black or blank screen. I was told my unit already had the DL100 8psk module installed. How can I tell if it is installed or not?

Yes, I aimed for 119 and 129W and I scanned and got a bunch of channels but non of them work. Is 129W not working for anyone? Or just me

you would have to ask your server

I can scan a lot of HD channels, especially in 129 and ESPN on 119 and it gives me weird lines and colors on the HD channel.
HD will not work on any bird. I've tried both 119 and 129.
