OK, if you sure your in "NTSC" mode and not "PAL" mode, and you have replaced the HDMI cable then try this, first test the HDMI input on the TV by using a Blu-Ray player or other form of HD device with an HDMI output.

This will test the HDMI input on the TV, if this test is OK, then it has to be the HD modulator chip (not the add on HD module) on the SV8000, the only way to test that would be with a second HDTV set.

The HD modulator chip on the SV8000 runs both the HDMI and component (RGB) outputs on the receiver, if it is going bad then the HD signals can be all messed up, the next thing to try would be the video output, but this will not be in HD as it is a separate IC chip, this will tell if the whole receiver is going bad or just the HD output.

If the HDMI chip has gone South for the winter then you will need a new receiver.

A component cable is not red/white/yellow that is a RCA cable a component is Red/Green/Blue there is a difference.

The power supply (PSU) probably needs work. Open the cover and look at the caps on the PSU PCB.

Check all your connections again including the ones to the dish.Make sure their clean and tight.
Reload the factory bin and start over again.
Go to that famous auction site and find the guy that repairs power supplies for SV (Dan Marco).

Good luck,
