I am attempting to use x-x client with my Nfusion HD. I run x-x client and the screen tells me I am connected, login successful, but hangs at "waiting for requests ". Any ideas on what I may have overlooked ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The Nfusion does not send request to the server, it sends requests to the xx-client which then forwards it to the server. The "waiting for requests " means the client is waiting for the request from the Nfusion which is done via network-cable.
When you select Nfusion in the xx-client ini it shuts off the serial port and then uses the network port, you also have to enter the Nfusion's IP in the xx-client ini so it knows which devise on your network to listen too.

sounds like you've got some wrong info on your NFHD.
You need to go into the NFHD network connection setting and set the gateway to the IP of the PC or router running xx-client. So you will have to set the NFHD to static and then assign the gateway.

To be clear then, you are saying that there is no need to use the serial cable at all? I have set the gateway in the receiver network settings to that of the pc running x-x client. STB ip has been set to static. The receiver still will not communicate with the computer running x-x client.
Any ideas and thank you for the reply

No you do not need serial cable the CW are sent over the LAN.

It turns out that if I "hard wire" connect the Nfusion HD stb all woks fine. My problem stems from my attempts to use a shared wired connection on my laptop which is running the x-x client. Any suggestions on what the problem might be? If I connect my Nano to the same shared wireless connection, it works fine.
