Remote not working for my SV8000hd

My remote has stopped working. The little red light flashes when you press a button but nothing shows up on the screen
It was working fine up until yesterday then it just stopped. Tried to replace the batteries but still a no go. Did a system
clean and reload of all the files but still nothing. All my network settings have benn wiped out and now I can't reenter
them because I don't know how to input numbers and letters without the use of the remote.
Can someone please try to help me with problem, Thanks.

It's not the remote...I have 2 of them and they both stopped working.

have you guys tried pressing the STB button maybe it's set to vcr or tv hum just maybe :noidea:

Dropped it on the floor tonight and the batteries fell out of it. Put them back in and it started to work again...I have no idea why.

Glad you got it working again.

Next time... point the remote at your cell phone camera and push a button.If it's working, you will see the signal in the phone display.
