I recently discovered I have a genetic condition called MEN1

During a recent CT scan 2 "trouble spots" were discovered.
One in my esophagus (non cancerous) and one in my right lung. The one in my lung is unknown at this point so the surgeon will be performing a "wedge" at which point the specimen will be sent to the lab where the tissue will be analyzed. From there it's up to the doctor.

modern Medicine today is a wonder, and the things they do today is nothing but magical...have faith in your Dr's and Surgeons, and we pray everything will be ok......i know you are worried, and rightly so, but try and relax, and take each day as it comes, and the outcome in your favour.......

Sorry for the live link.

I don't have any chest pain or shortness of breath, so if it is malignant, it hasn't spread to anything vital.

Thank you for all your support.

Surgery is mon Feb22 8am.
If I don't make it out....

having gone through lung problems myself, i know first hand what you are going through, hang in there. i was "lucky", it is scar tissue, but i do have emphesema. anyway, all the best of luck...you have everyone at this site pulling for you

Determination,and a positive attitude will carry you over most hurdles in life,but remember a good smile will help lighten the load even more! God Bless You,and you will be in my prayers!!!!!!

there was a very minor complication and I just got out today. The two procedures went very well, both lumps were benign.
The problem was that my chest area swoll up and my throat was closed, I had to be fed thru the nose until the surgeon went down with a scope and widened the area.

So now I'm on a 4 week liquid/mush meal.

But other than that, I turned on my Nano2 and it's still kickin!!!

Life is good, thank you one and all for the wishes.
