The Pinwheel HD Pro is the buggiest box I've ever owned and I think I'll turn it into a doorstop soon because trying to watch this thing is a nightmare!

What do u hate about it? The only thing I hate about this unit is the PVR is the worst I ever used and the EPG for Bev sucks big time . Other than that I like it

Perhaps you guys should try using a providers ird as well as a sub to deal with your issues. They are what they are.

Doesn't that negate the purpose of what the box is suppose to do? Isn't it suppose to be watchable with working functions? The PVR and EPG should work, shouldn't they? Otherwise why have them on the receiver. Pinwheel support is poor I think is what your getting at.

show me any box in the last 3 years that has performed up to expectations. You want a box where everything works then you need a sub and you have someone to complain to. Anybody buying a FTA unit and then loading 3rd party content created by some Chinese guy in his basement half a world away who is not even able to test the product after the fact because he can not get a signal from the proper sats needs to give their heads a shake. The very fact that they work at all is nothing much short of a miracle

They all have problems when first released, I understand. Honestly though isn't that what they're purchased for? Also, don't companies like dreamlink linkbox Nano hd even jynx did for awhile, release new files to resolve some of the issues. Pinwheel has done nothing. as I said before just bad support. Linkbox didn't work with bev when it came out. it does now. Dreamlink didn't have an epg for more than an hour, it does now. Just sayin. some come out and plan on improving and making some things work. other do not. Pinwheel is the other.

actually they released 6 different files in the span of 5 months, now nothing happened since mid-Feb. Those that had the boxes from day 1 seen some improvements over that time. Those that bought in the last 2 months haven't and might be disappointed. Whether support is done or not, no one can say one way or the other and compared to some other boxes out there these guys were tight lipped right from the start so it is a wait and see game.

If that doesn't work for you sell it and buy something different to be disappointed with in a month later. Just the way it works

Very much agreed!

Every box has it's issues, but this particular box was fairly expensive and at the moment is the buggiest box I've ever used and I've been in this since the beginning (Bud days). Channels won't change from time to time, random reboots, some channels won't come in unless you rock back and forth between 2 working channels .... and many more bugs with this box. What bothers me the most is these folks didn't fix some of the most glaring bugs that were and are still presently plaguing this box from being very good.
This isn't the worst box I've ever owned (I owned a Junkbox) but it most certainly is the box that has some of the most annoying bugs ever.

try reloading the bin file, remember to do a factory reset before and after loading the bin.

the box is "different" and the epg for south sometimes requires a few tricks but the box does RELIABLY put a good picture on the screen.
