Hello all. Before I would play with the frequency and then the receiver picks up the correct satellite. Now there is no quality. I purchased a new lnb. It has three connectors rather than two. I don't know if that matters, but I am still getting no quality. We tried changing the switch and connector and angle of the dish. Nothing. The dish is a little rusty at the bottom. Can that affect the quality? I have a fta dish also, and all is fine with that, so the receiver is fine. Help please anyone?

not enough info ? what type dish, what type lnbf, what receiver, what file loaded to receiver. do you have a diseq switch at the dish.
can you post pictures of dish and lnbf. important info that will help dramatically improve the type of response and recommended cure.

I do have a diseq switch at the dish
I can post pics later if needed since it's nighttime now. Thanks for helping troubleshoot.

If you have a DPP twin LNB (one large oval eye) then you do not need the Diseqc switch.
It has it's own internal switch and you may have conflicting Diseqc commands it you use a second switch.

I took the diseq switch away, and it did not improve the quality. Can it be the dish itself or the receiver? I changed out the lnb and connections and diseq switch and no changes in quality. I want to say the receiver is fine since I have a fta dish that goes to the same receiver, and it is fine.

I have it connected to a viewsat ultra. I just have one on that dish.
