View Full Version : ultra HD firm v. 2.46
hi mates,
i found on ebay a new jynxbox ultra HD V5+ with firmware v2.46, the seller said that it is an original.
Should i buy it or there is something does not smell good??
it comes with jb200 module (wonder if it is good enough for dish 1000 and Bev) and if i can setup IKS server with no problems and issues.
Thank you mates this is my first post.

It is not original unless he means it is an original clone. Jynxbox never made a V5 STB, they stopped at V3 and that is when all the clones hit the market.
With any Jynxbox, be it an original or clone, will need extra power when using it with a 1000.X LNB.

Dont fool yourself - this is not really a jynxbox. It is made in China and is truly a "cheap" product - it will work but even with the fan- it is heat sensitive. The fan can be very noisy but can be easily correct by putting a something thin on the corners of the fan (like a torn business card) -- the picture on the TV is good and it seems to switch the LNBs ok. I have 2 friends that have one each and the runs to their dish (1000.2) are very short. These are sold for under $120 deliverd and can be bought for $70-$75 in quantities of 10 (maybe 5) It is not a box that I would suggest - I have no confidence it will work for very long. Spend $170 for a Linkbox or even the $200 for a Dreanlink T5. I think (from memory -very poor) that the boxes I saw were 1.5v software but it does work and the boxes come with software pre-installed and as a result should work fine

Thank you mates, you were right man, if it needs more power i will buy another box like T5 or linkbox, but i need a box with wifi that work with iks server like the one i have now(SV 360 Premier+SVLan) but no more slot in my router so that's why i need a receiver with wifi connection that is reliable.
Thank you for your time and reply
