New box, where to start?

I just got my new hd lite today, in order to avoid any problems I just wanted to double check and ask what the proper procedure for loading my box would be? Do I load factory then firmware, or just firmware? Can it be fresh loaded from usb or do I need to use loader?

first thing you should do is a full backup of the system with the loader, loader cable & your computer.

Does the lite have its own loader, or does the hd loader work on lite as well?

And this would be in "dump" mode I assume? What do I backup? All of it?

I think the loader is the same for all the jynxboxs, did your box come with the loader cable.
I would make a copy of everything, all chunk, firmware, data base, I keep a copy on a usb drive with the loader file.

Yep it came with the stb. I've done "all chunk" in "dump" mode, I'll do a backup of the firmware and data base too as you suggest, I too like to be prepared :thumbsup:

I have ask that same question about all chunk but got no answer, I have not bricked a jynxbox so I don't know, I think its best
to copy all files just in case, and if your box is a clone you will need the files.

Don't think they've made clones of the lite, but I could be wrong.

I copied all the data and saved it just in case. Updated to latest file and am now scanning in my first sat, wish me luck lol.

All you have to do is load current firmware file on to usb and load, there is no need for fac. files or loaders, do a fac default of receiver, then load 1,11 firmware file, everything else is just wasting your time, because the fac. file is already loaded!

Did that, loaded 111 file and scanned. Now trying to enter server info and get connected but not having much luck...

I have no problem inputting the info, it just doesn't connect...

Did you do a factory reset after you loaded the file, if not you need too.
then reboot your all your wireless, then go to menu then wireless and set that up first then add server info.

Thanks guys I finally got it going, just needed to reboot my router and she hooked right up.

Yep you are wrong bud if you think there isn't a clones of the ultra lite, go to ebay search=jynxbox V5+=and you will have the answer,
in fact I think the clone is better built box,JMO,LOL.

LOL I almost bought a v5 from local classified site but decided to stick with authorized dealer for the hd lite. Now to see if I like it better than the dl t5 I ordered with it :tehe:

The jynxbox V5 isn't the same as the V5+.

K I'm finding that it worked fine with the south sats, but as soon as I added my north sat, my switch went all nutty and now it won't lock in all sats at once...sigh.

the V5 is not a clone of the lite, it is a clone of the V3 and they used an external power supply so it looks like the lite

Did you press the sat button and make sure that All sats is highlighted and press OK?
