I got a satellite C850. had it a year. got Norton on it , just renewed Norton . I get this thing askin me to buy drivers from driver support. it says I got 19 out of date drivers. do I need this crap? or is it something wantin in my lappy. I already got one in the closet with a virus, i'm not for another messed up lappy. I got windows 8 on my lappy if it helps. any thoughts any one please.

nortons added some junk ware with it. run malewarebytes and see what it finds

..And go to control panel (add/remove programs) check to see what junk they added and remove it.........

I did the malewarebytes thing and it says i'm protected. it didn't seem to find anything though.

Try what Condor said. look at all running programs and google all that you don't recognize. I would bet you will find a program named "Driver Manager" if you do you can remove it or turn it off.
