If so then you have a windows label somewhere on it that has the key.

True, but some people buy these units that need upgrading, but, they are comfortable with what they have bought which is a off lease running that program.

Once they decipher if it is off lease or not then they can do what they will depending on the build of laptop/desktop unit.
