My fried has an original Jynxbox Ultra HD V3 receiver and has JB200 installed on it.

He tried using "RF out" on it, to get picture on his tv in the basement. No picture comes in on channel 2 or 3. Does the JB 200 not support RF out.

What are his other options?

This must be an old TV, does it not have RCA Inputs? I would either get a TV with the RCA inputs or 1 with both HDMI and RCA, but the only thing that strikes me as strange is, why your friend would buy an HD receiver, for standard def., TV.

It is my understanding that the RF out on that version (V3) is for another option.

Go get a video/audio RF modulator for channel 3 or 4, and use the video and L/R output on the receiver.

And you cant run video and audio too far or you will get a very bad video buzz

He does not have a FTA receiver for the basement tv. So if RF out works on Jynx, then he can at least watch the same channel down stair that is on the Jynx receiver. He does have RCA input and HDMI input on his tv in the basement, but its always easier and less expensive to run a coax cable from upstair to basement than having a long RCA or HDMI cables. He would probably need 15 to 20 ft long RCA or HDMI cable. Its easier and cheaper to find coax cable that is 15 to 20 ft long.

OK we tried the RF Modulator, it works, now the only problem is picture is black and white. There is no color to it. We even plugged in the RCA cable form Jynx box straight to TV and still the picture is black and white.

What's funny is that it works fine with HDMI cable (color picture), but when using RCA cables the picture is black and white. It this a glitch in his Jynxbox or what?

Dose he have a video input on that TV your using for downstairs?

If so then try it directly to that input from the video output on the receiver with the TV sitting next to it.

And make sure you used the "Yellow, Red and White" RCA jacks on the receiver, if the Jynxbox has an RGB output (Red, Green and Blue RCA jacks) make sure you didn't plug into that.

If it's still in B&W then check the video settings on the Jynxbox, make sure it's set to NTSC and not PAL.

If it looks good there then try the next TV channel on the TV, if it's on 3 go to 4 if it's on 4 go to 3.

Did try to plug in the video directly. Same problem, output form RCA jack is black and white, but the output from HDMI is in color.

If the selection for NTSC and PAL is incorrect, then why would it work on the HDMI output?

Changed the resolution setting within Jynx, now the picture is fine with color. Thanks for your help Terryl.
