Iq remove the cover of the V6 and check next to the port where the JB200 module is connected, it seems it can be converted to dual tuner with some soldering of course.

I am now testing the new jynxbox V6 clone.
The first thing I see that I don't like is that it has an internal power supply, so if it needs more amps it will be hard to
fix.
The next thing is it has no fan but there is room to add one if needed.
I do like the remote, it has large buttons, the most used buttons are glow in the dark.
I will post more in a day or two after testing.

Ok its been running for 12 Hrs now on a turbo HD dish with a DPP 3 eye lnb 110.0w, 119.0w & 129.0w with no power inserter or
extra power of any kind.
It has no fan and at this time I see no need to add a fan, one side of the box is still cold, the side at the JB200 module is warm but that's it just warm not hot, I must say I am impressed.

I will try to post some pics at another time.
I do not like the fact that the power supply is internal but it is not part of the main mother board so if there is a problem it will
be easy to test & fix if needed.

I did find another small problem, with the loader & loader cable, you cant use a usb to rs232 converter, it will connect but when you try
to dump the all chunk or the firmware file it will stop at 4% or 16% then give a fail code, I then used an old computer with an
rs232 port and it worked perfect.

Now, does this clone work with a motor?
Yes it does but I don't have the DVB-S2- tuner so I hooked my azbox hd premium + to my extra LNB port and it hit every sat,
it moves the HH SG 6000 very slow, now the slow moving could be low power or it could that its the first time I have used that
dish & motor in over a year.LOL.

You must have a longer run of coax cable than I do, my cable run is less than 15 feet, a longer coax cable will put more load on the receiver and cause more heat at the module.

I definitely am running a longer coax and have a few connections in between a 150ft run causing the heatup. Most likely the problem of having to use a fan.

First thing, do your self and your receiver a favor, buy a 300 foot run of cable, cut it in 1/2 so you have 2 150 runs of cable then buy
a power inserter or an old DN receiver to power the LNB.

Wouldn't you know it, they put the fan on the wrong side of the JB200 module,LOL.
The first gen V6 has the same wire plug on the mother board so it will be easy to add a fan and put it in a better location to

LOL I notice it and said, they have no lubricants for the fan in the V5+ and have no sense of direction for removing heat from the tuner, I think the fan will work taped or glue to the top case just like the first Ultra Lites. TurboPirate

If you look there is a 1 inch gap at the power supply & the mother board, there is nothing there, you could put 2 fans in that gap
to blow air across the mother board & the JB200 module and a cool receiver is a happy receiver,LOL.

Hi all,

I just wanted to thank you all for this thread and this forum in general. I was going to buy the v3 because I read it is the original, but thanks to this thread, I changed my mind and ordered the clone v6. It does have white label so I hope that it has a fan. It should arrive in 2-3 days, so let's see if I get lucky and be up by the weekend :-)

Thank you TurboPirate.
I am back with updates I set up my V6 out of the box (after reading all this thread of course) and I was able to be up and running within 2 hours. Let me say only one negative thing about this box before I praise it. I had a hard time working the remote but luckily my logitech remote has codes for the box and it worked like a charm. I installed the IR extension and it is working flawlessly. The Wifi module that came with the box was not working, but no problem since I have LAN ready.
I haven't had a chance to play with the other features such as HDD yet.. but this box has fulfilled and exceeded my satisfaction. I am loving it. Thank you all for this thread.
One more thing.. I am skeptical about opening the box and seeing inside. I have the box set up behing my tv vertically with the bottom of the box facing out. I do hear the fan running and I get little worried that the box will get too hot. I was thinking of installing a usb fan (maybe 6 inches) and have it face the box. Is this something that you guys see as a good practice or is there any other recommendation?

If you think it will get to hot where you have it, you can put a small usb fan on the out side of the case over the JB200 module and have it blow air in to cool the module, with a hot glue gun you can stick the fan to the out side of the case, I did this for one of my buds and now you can run it all day and it stays cold.

Did that yesterday.. Reduced the annoying sound of the fan significantly but it still there.. There is plenty of room for more fans but more fans will mean more sound.. I wonder if disabling the little fan & putting a bigger usb fan by the box will be a wise choice?

Also what is the component of the receiver that needs to the fan to stay cool? I just realized that my fan is glued behind the tuner so it's being blocked from the motherboard?!

The fan is on the wrong side of the tuner but the tuner is what needs the most cooling.
A larger fan with less RPMs is the way to go, it will have less noise and move the same amount of air.
My V6 didn't come with a fan so I just put a fan on top of the case over the JB200 + tuner and it never gets warm.

Thank you for your reply. I think you are right because even with the fan (being at the wrong place), the box heats up. Would you know by any chance how much voltage is coming from the receiver board to the fan? My bet is 5V but I could be wrong?

Check what the voltage on the current fan is.

I did when I had the box opened and there were no label. ( or maybe the specs are not visible)
I suspect a 5W input and 5W output because the fan runs at maximum. I would think putting a 12W or 15W fan will run slower thus less noise? Either way, the fan is in the wrong side of the Tuner and will need to be switched to the other side for better results. I wonder if it will help with the freezing I get after the receiver gets warm? I will keep y'all updated.

Is it the new V6 or the old dog trying to run it??

Motor plus 3 solid multi lnb dishes (Yeah excessive I know, but the old days were just that good!) The V6 works consistently with my solid DP twin. 110 & 119.

It’s the V6 with SG-2100 motor that is inconsistent. Sometimes it moves and not others. Was just gonna leave the motor on 129 but I just had to experiment! And now, oh crap, troubles!

The only real scan I ever got (when trying to get 129) was 110 feeding into it from the side while pointed at 129. Still can’t get 129 and I’ve tried all kinds of combinations in the settings. Maybe I confused it even more than me!
32” dish with Invacom quad polar. The old Pansat runs it perfectly. I've switched back and forth several times. The V6 was working with USALS, I've even tried 1.2 but no real progress. Gave up last night!

I'll be back at it in a few minutes. I'll post any new discoveries.

About out of time to return the V6 it if it’s bad. Been reading but haven't seen many people running motors.

Do you think a factory reset will work?
Can you run a solid and a motor at the same time like the Pansat did? I would think so but may be wrong.

I have disconnected the fan inside my box because the noise came back again after I had lubed it. The noise is not consistent: sometimes it's smooth and other times it gets annoying.. I have received a USB fan I ordered from Amazon, hooked the USB to the TV usb port so that way it runs when the TV gets turned on. I have the USB fan directed at my jynxbox and apple tv (1st generation) and it is doing a wonderful job keeping both units at room temperature.

and the fan blade was not pressed all the way on and was hitting the JB200 tuner, I pressed it on about 1/16 of an inch and
that fixed it, so if you have fan noise check that before you replace the fan.

Thank you. I saw them here = http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?166493-Jynxbox-V6-allchunk-and-Firmware-file
For new users, is it possible to describe what the changes are?

There are no changes, those files are to recover the V6 because many members don't read before installing files and that way they can recover the V6 to it's original file. TP

Stumbled on to this yesterday. If u go to ch 199 north (NTV). the jynxv6 picks up a 10 -15 hr. epg for all of Bev within minutes & without a stick. u don't have to hit the yellow button when in epg. just watch show for a few minutes.

I just wanted to report that I saw so much freezing time on my friend's receiver while testing with the wi-fi module. I thought it was from the server this whole time but when tested directly using LAN, no more freezing or I should say rarely freezing.

This happened to me once but the problem was the WiFi router was open and neighbors were using the INTERNET and that much traffic affected the receiver, once I locked the WiFi with a password the freezing ended. TurboPirate
