The six-match main card of Metamoris 4 has been finalized, and as expected, it features a trio of notable mixed martial arts names, as UFC veterans Chael Sonnen, Josh Barnett, and Vinny Magalhaes are all expected to compete at the submissions-only grappling event.
Sonnen takes on accomplished submission artist Andre Galvao in the night's main event, while Barnett tests his catch wrestling against leglock specialist Dean Lister and Magalhaes looks to challenge Keenan Cornelius in a match that was originally scheduled for Metamoris 3, but ultimately cancelled at the last minute because of Magalaghaes' hospitalization for staph infection.
Also on the card are matches between Saulo Ribeiro and Robert "Comprido" Medeiros, and Gary Tonon and Kit Dale, as well as a "secret match" that will be unveiled on fight night.
"The two guys in the secret match won't even know who their opponent is," Metamoris president Ralek Gracie recently said on The MMA Hour. "They're out there. People know who they are. I was talking to a guy and he was like ‘man, I don't know, that's weird. Training for somebody I don't know.' And I said ‘that's the point.'"
Metamoris 4 is expected to take place August 9, 2014 at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA and stream live as an online pay-per-view for $20. Kenny Florian and Jeff Glover will return as commentators.
