remote control issue, not changing channels

Hi,
My remote has started to no let me change channels up or down, when I try to manually input channels, message box pops up and read "failed to turn channel" I rebooted receiver several times even updated the sw to 3.1 still the same. I can go to epg and select a different channel then it will go. but cannot push channel up/down and will move. I have put new batteries in and the little green light blinks when pushed to change channels.
Any ideas? Anyone

maybe u under favourites by mistake...hit ok and check what u under on the top left...

that was it, I think. I scrolled favorites and all is well now. Darn kids messing with stuff

That is because favorites change into their own channel numbers not the real ones.
