strange thing happened with svlan wow

so been running with no problems at all but been away for a week and went to power up sv8000 to watch tv and i did not get nothing and rebooted but my svlan is not getting network adapter connection message coming on ,,, tried rebooting again and again and no network settings coming on,,, i did get it back one time by fluke when i disconnected dongle and put it back in but in network settings i only got dns failed,,, my network doesn't see dongle at all,,,, could dongle be pooched? if so very strange,,, wonder if a storm did something , if so it didn't bother my computer or modem either,,,, anyone have any ideas,,, kinda lost here

been reading here,,, could anyone tell me what HD20-2028_NoChk_2nd_chksum_2nd_try is used for

anyone help out here,,,, can i try and just load HD20-2028_NoChk_2nd_chksum_2nd_try with wiz100sr 3.0.2 and see if i can get svlan recognized,,, if so do i just open up wiz100sr and select upload and use HD20-2028_NoChk_2nd_chksum_2nd_try file

and do i only need to set baud rate to 115200 and do nothing with data bit, parity, stop bit and flow or just leave those blank in serial settings in wiz100sr?

The hd 20 nochk file is loaded in receiver by usb drive not with the 3.0.2 wiznet tool program on computer.You don't need to load any files.Make sure svlan is connected good.Then reboot router then bootup receiver.Look for network connect message and look for lights on the svlan.If needed run wiznet on computer and click search only and see if wiznet finds svlan and populates ip's.If so tell us version in version box.

You ain't listening I said you didn't need to load files if you had a svlan working.If you get network adapter connect message DON'T do anything else.DNS fail is usually a internet problem.Rebooting modem then router then bootup receiver should do it if your server codes are good.

Well my internet is working fine and i have rebooted modem a few times but still no go with getting my box going due to still getting dns fail so not sure wether its svlan problem or not, i guess i will hook up svlan to wiz to see if it sees it or not or maybe i have a bad ethernet cable ,, talked to my neighbor next door and he got his phone and bell express vu hit by lightning and the only thing that happened to me was this issue but internet works fine sooooo. I am lost but i do notice that my svlan is warm to the touch

You don't hook svlan to wiz.Install wiznet 3.0.2 on computer.Then run and click search ONLY.Your version should be 4.12 in version box.If your getting the network adapter connect message then your svlan is at 4.12 with hd 20 in receiver.Make sure DHCP is on in receivers network settings if not change and reboot receiver.

Sorry yes i was not clear , i do have 3.0.2 on my computer and will see what it says for hub info ,,,, but my svlan i think might be corrupted because when i do a reboot sometimes it will show numbers under network setting where my p$ info is loaded that are not right like under subnet or gateway and then when i reboot box again and go back into network settings they show the correct info again but still dns fail and yes i do have dhcp selected there

Are you seeing the "Network Connected" message after boot up?? Before it was all working fine and now its not... and your not seeing the "Network Connected" message any more? Had one of my receivers doing this exact same thing..
I put a new refurbished main power board in and all was fixed.

I now get network adapter message displaying but svlan has no lights coming on,,, i did check my sv8000 with another working svlan hub and the box works fine so i think my power supply is good, this pooched svlan hub must of got zapped with the lightning storm

I have tried connecting it up with wiz3.0.2 and hit search but nothing even went direct with cat cable to computer and set my computer local ip, subnet and gateway to match into wiz and tried to upload but nothing

On another note though, i have another bricked ihub and it does have solid amber and green light showing but i cannot get that one either to show up in wiz3.0.2. Would love to fix one of these

But i did just order a wiz110r board been reading alot to make sure i program it right,,, one question i is lets say under network settings on my computer they show for example

Local ip 192.169.2.22
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.169.2.1

After i hit search in wiz3.0.2 then under static do i put those fields exactly like above into wiz3.0.2

I know i need to also change baud rate and stuff but not sure on this one thing
