hi everyone im eve and im very new to fta i would love for someone to help out on my first purchase for a receiver a what other hardware i will need to set up my fta set up

i had a captiveworks before ,,,im looking to buy a coolsat hd ..should i wire it up on my dish 500 satellite or get a different one... and what other hardware do i need ?
