modded vip211 keep turning on and off

I use a pc to run the vip211 but after the dish500+ (110-118-119-129) installation I did a check switch. Now the rec keep turning on and off and no pic on the tv. While doing the check switch I forgot to turn on the pc. Would that be the cause of the problem?

Your receiver may have taken a firmware update.Is the receiver locked @565?Can you get to the sys info screen by pulling the avr on boot?

I dont know if its locked @565. It kept turning on and off after the check switch. It might have taken a firmware update. Before I had the dish 1000.4 dish. And I cant get the sys info by pulling the avr on boot.

Disconnect sat fed cable & try a boot that way.

Sounds t me like it took the dreaded update.If the ird wasn't locked at 565 or older, I'm willing to bet on it.
