I have 2 sv8k's set-up the same going thru a dp44 switch. One receiver works fine. The second one has lost channels and other channel are weak going through same switch. I factory reset and loaded all files including saved channel list and have same issue. Any ideas how to fix?

Swap your receivers location. (switch places the weak one to where the good one is) If you have the same results then you have a box issue. If you don't and it performs as the good one did look at your cabling carefully.

When I set -up 2 days ago it worked fine. Next morning channels missing on the 1 receiver. I switched cables at switch and same issue with same receive. All cables are secured. What else could be wrong with cables when it originally worked. Could it be a receiver or hub issue?

Like I said. switch the locations of the receivers and if the one with missing channels with weak signal is still the same then you know you have a box issue and or hub issue.

I switched receiver. My backup sv8k gets less channels. So it's not a box issue. I'm connected, so it's not the hub.My other receiver in different location works fine. Anybody have any ideas?

You probably have a corrupted receiver. http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?131185-Modified-TP-update-5-Jan-2013

Did you do what Anubis suggested? If you switch the box location you can rule out a problem with the cable run.

How do you have the DC power inserter for the switch installed?

On it's own coax to the #1 receiver port on the switch?

Or with a receiver in-line with the DC power inserter?

Swap out the 8PSK board and see if that makes a difference.

sounds like you having a problem allright you do know that you have to have an external power source for the 44 switch correct...
also there is an arrow on this box on the front part make sure that it is pointing up this is not an auto switch that switches from one sat to another this is a manuel it is gravity fed not power .......also I just worked on my receiver and replaced the dreaded capasitors that seem to go bad.......and now my box don't have any channel problems or signal strength problems ......I changed out 5 capasators now the box works fine but my dongle aint no good now it lost memory and I having heck figuring it out now ....good luck hope I helped some ........showhorse
