Satlobo North Freezing

Satlobo bev freezing for over 2 weeks now..all channels cut out(freeze) and
also 10 plus second channel changing. Change over to Activa and all fine on
north and south.
Sonicview elite.

Have rebooted all equip with same results. I don't see anyone else having freeze issues..Thoughts..??

They have most liekly oversold their resources for north server.
Meaning cards are congested. If its fine on another server then obviously it is not your setup. ;)

All the servers freeze at some point. This is to be expected. I don't know about everyone else but the FIRST thing I do when I notice any freezing or any channels not working I reboot everything. Now the problem is nobody ever wants to admit that it might be the server and not the end user's equipment that is the issue. I personally am getting a little tired of being told that it's always my problem on my end. We are all here to help eachother, but I feel some members are more concerned about pointing out things that are not important and showing the rest of us how sarcastic they can be. Most of us on here want to help and sometimes nee help as well.

Well heres the thing, when debugging any freezing issue you need to look at the following.

1) Freezing is only on 1 channel :
->Check other channels on the Same transponder, if they are also freezing this is most likely related to your sat signal or equipment/tuner.
-> If the freezing is NOT on any other channel on that TP then the problem IS the server.

2) Freezing is on ALL channels:
-> Reboot your equipment, check signal levels, check your isp speed at speedtest, do a PING test on your server.
If all is FINE then the SERVER is the issue.
If your ping test Reveals that the time is above 2-3 seconds (AKA 2000/3000 MS) and you also have packet loss this means that server is either having issues OR your ISP is having an issue, a quick way to test if its your ISP is to use ANY VPN connection or even use online tools to run the same tests, if those tests also reveal the same issue then it is the server that is the problem, however if online tests and vpn tests are normal this means it is your isp.

3) Connectin FAILED
-> CHeck your account Expiration Date.
-> Do a ping test to see if the sever is alive
-> run a telnet test from your home computer such as the following telnet SERVER-IP SERVER-PORT
If You get a connection this means your account is down OR the server is not having any channels up.
If you get NO connection this can mean your ISP is having an issue, the server is FULLY down, or your IP is blocked on the server.



Many people who runs servers do not tweak firewall or the system to operate properly for IKS, what generally happens is when a server is small under 800ish users, the normal linux system is able to handle the workload properly for IKS.
However when you have more then that the issue will be more noticiable as iks equipment is not standardized in terms of its connection intervals or packet size or re-transmit timings.

South has a ecm right now so pre are switching to north and the server for north cannot handle the extra load not enough seeder cards.

since I have changed to the new port and domain 2 weeks ago, I had issues with freezing all the time on north, south was up at that time so it was not the issue

Looks like lobo tweeked the system...I have quick channel changes back and no freezes
this morning..it was flawless for me 3 weeks ago and am glad all is back to normal.

Yes it is freezing like crazy, cannot watch program. Been like this for a good week now. Seems to be more troublesome during 17:00h peek hours I guess. Hope they fix this.

Spoke too soon...all good till around 5 pm then the freezing starts again.
Hope they can work it out as it is my favorite server and would hate to jump ship.

There are international channels in the 9000 series as well as HD channels on DN (South) not North. Most of these channels are either down or freezing on DN.

I sent a message to one of satlobo suppliers and nothing changed .have a lot of very unhappy people about bev freezing so bad and dn down so much .have not had any luck .this change we made in bev to different server not good .worse then ever ,freezing too bad to watch and it is not on our end either ,its their end

If it were me i would be looking to see if i got switched to a 2 for 1 deal like some provide.

I think there are a couple that do both pretty well but i know of a few that bev is an afterthought at best.

Hopefully a reseller here would not try to pull that.

Don't think any p$ is switching anyone part way through their commitment. And if they did move them to another server do you thing the p$ would invest in an inferior server. Don't think so. As far as the 2 for 1 deal any that I see are doing very well with minimal complaints. This is IKS and at certain times it will not be stable. period.

5pm freezing back..trying to watch superchannel3...freezing every 30 sec. un
watchable. Switched over to activa...freeze free on all channels they offer,,which isn't the best selction...no super channels or bbc.

I was switched to new panel for north a week ago and it's not watchable due to continued freezing, we can all make our issues known and switch payment to a new service if not fixed soon, there are stable options for us if it's not fixed.
