Marc Marquez said he was not afraid to lose and today's Czech Grand at Brno he found out how it feels.
Marquez's stunning winning streak came to a dramatic end when he slumped to a fourth-place finish.
It was a dramatic day with Marquez's incredible sequence of wins and podiums in the premier class ending.
Marquez finished 10.4s behind race winner, his Repsol Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa, with Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo (second) and Valentino Rossi (third) completing the podium.
"This win makes me feels so special, it's been a tough season so far," said Pedrosa who struggled for rear grip as Lorenzo narrowed the gap in the final laps.
In 26 race finishes, from 29 starts in the premier class, this was the first time Marquez has missed the podium.

The 2014 Brno race will forever be remembered as the day this 21-year-old superstar lost his bid to win his 11th consecutive race.
But Marquez retains a special place in the record books being one of only four riders to win 10 or more consecutive races in the history of MotoGP, the others being Giacomo Agostini, John Surtees and Mick Doohan.
But true to his pre-race commitment to race for championship points on the days he could not fight for wins, Marquez's fourth place sees him retain a stranglehold on the world championship chase.
Marquez has 263 points, a massive 77 ahead of Pedrosa (186) followed by Rossi (173) and Lorenzo (137).
Marquez has said that his career will be defined by the number of world titles he wins, not the number of races.
Pedrosa won the race in stylish fashion, racing alone and controlling the gap to Lorenzo over the second half of the 22 laps.
This was Pedrosa's first victory since the Malaysian GP last October.
Early race leader, the hard-charging Andrea Iannone, finished fifth just ahead of factory Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso.
By contrast Marquez's winning chances were dealt blow with slow getaway and then a dramatic series of elbow-banging overtakes with Iannone.
This allowed Lorenzo and Pedrosa to escape with Marquez and his Honda unable to respond with the superiority that delivered his 10 consecutive victories.
Rossi was relieved with his third place, racing with painkillers because of a deep gash to the little finger of his left hand suffered in practice.
"I'm happy I've beaten Marquez and to be on the podium, this shows that Marc can be beaten," Rossi said.
"It was difficult weekend for me, I wasn't sure of my pace with my finger injury suffered in practice, I had some pain.
"It was a pleasure too beat Marc and he was sliding a lot today and unable to be as fast as he usually is."
