Looks like it's going to be one of those years...Atl beating NO not that much of an upset, they always play them tough...lost on opening day to NO (In NO) last year 23-17 and lost in week 12 at home (17-13) both in last minutes. Miami beat NE at home last year week 15 (24-20). Flaco looked terrible for Balt as did KC. Pete "Parity" Rozelle once again is smiling from ear to ear from his grave!

Though not official until the final game, and baring a freaky very high scoring game it looks like our week 1 winner will be Chicot60 with 2nd and 3rd place going to daysinn and TJCams respectfully.

Well week 1 of the 2014 season is in the record books. Join me in congratulating our first week pool winner daysinn and our 2nd and 3rd place winners Chicot60 and TJcams respectfully. It was a weird week with a lot of upsets. It came down to a three way tie on picks so the weeks total points were used as the tie breaker. Total week points 716. Both daysinn and Chicot60 were 44 points under and over so we went to the second tie breaker of the Monday Nights games total points. Total points of the game was 35. What a thrilling week in the pool and what a great game ARI and SD was.

I need someone to kick me in the ass. I am in another football pool where there is some coin involved. There are 42 people in this pool and there is a payout at the end of the year but also a payout at the end of each week. At the end of this week I am tied for 1st with about 10 others but the kicker is I made a mistake when I picked my teams in this pool. When it came to the indy-denver game I checked off indy. I had every intention of picking denver, and had circled denver on my piece of paper where I had all my picks. My jaws dropped on sunday afternoon when I was checking my standing only to find I have indy checked off instead of denver. I would have been all alone in ist place with 11 right. This was worth $220 dollahs. There goes a new fishing rod...lol.

I made a mistake when I picked my teams in this pool. When it came to the indy-denver game I checked off indy. I had every intention of picking denver, and had circled denver on my piece of paper where I had all my picks.

And I was going to pick Atl and Miami in this pool but went with the "experts"...goes to show you, you've got to go with your gut, not you head. I would have had 12 correct...coulda, shoulda, woulda :)! But now I've got to say:
