The problem is with the nfusion hd / client software communication. When it misses a control word they never get back in sync. Changing the channel gets them in sync. This only happens with South. For North, it recovers automatically after a control word miss without requiring a chan change.
I haven't seen any client (goo, iks4suns, etc) that doesn't have this issue with the nfusion hd and South.

My plumber is using Goo2 with Activa and not having any problems. Are these the settings you are using
serial_speed=19200
server_timeout=10
server_retries=0
receiver_protocol=5
ignore_caid=0
log=1

NOI has the same issue. To fix it, either the nfusion firmware needs to be updated (never going to happen) or a new client that compensates for this issue needs to be developed (probably not likely). Your best option is to get another receiver for South.

My plumber has the same setup and is not experiencing any problems. When was the last time you rebooted your primary router? Are you using one of the better P$ like Activa?

Does activa ever miss a control word? It probably does. That's when the chan will need to be changed to get it working again. Or maybe he changes the chan frequently enough that activa doesn't appear to miss any control words. Leave it on the same chan for about an hour or so, and you'll probably notice the issue.

My mechanic said he runs goo3 NFHD south and has not reported any of the issues you mentioned.
