How would I use my extra BEV receiver as a power source to a switch. I have read we can do this, just not sure what I need.

Just run a cable from the "sat" coax terminal on the back of the ird to the appropriate terminal on the switch.Plug in the ird & you're all set.

So would I need a special switch or can I do this with a standard 4x1 switch?

I have a jynxbox v4 and I'm pretty sure it does not have the power to run 5 sats. I'm assuming I would nee extra power to do this.

are you talking about pass threw ?????..but receiver needs to be off to run that ..normally . So can not see how this would work .

It should have enough power..it will only power up one lnb at a time plus switch .

Currently I have 3 sats hooked up. 82, 91, 129. If I add 110 and 119 I get no signal from any of them. Even if I just add one more sat to make 4, I will not get any signal.

We need more info from you or we are all guessing.

What type/brand/make of LNB's, how many dishes are you using, what brand/make of switch, how old is the switch, your shoe size, and how are you connecting 5 LNB's into a 4 port switch?

Stuff like that there will help us a great deal, we can then help you faster.

Also your receiver settings for all 5 satellites.
